From First Cut to Final Seal: Our Curbing Installation Process

It Starts with a Free Estimate
Before any concrete is mixed, we come to you. One of our team members visits your property, walks the space with you, and helps figure out what will look best. That means talking through color options and stamp patterns, identifying the areas you want to border, and giving you a clear, upfront cost. No surprises.

Step-by-Step: What Happens During Installation
Ground Preparation
We start by cutting and removing the existing grass line along the edge of your beds or lawn. This gives us a clean, even surface to work from and ensures the curbing sits flush and stable from day one.
Extrusion
This is where the curbing takes shape. We use a polypropylene concrete mix that lets color blend evenly throughout, so the color goes all the way through the curb rather than just sitting on the surface. The mixture is loaded into our curb machine, which extrudes it into a continuous, formed curb.
As the curb is formed, a 1/8" steel cable runs through the center of it. That internal reinforcement adds real strength and helps the curbing hold up over time. Our concrete is rated to withstand up to 4,000 pounds per square inch, which means it's built to handle Middle Tennessee's freeze-thaw cycles and everyday wear without a problem.
Hand Finishing
Once the curb is extruded, our crew goes over every inch by hand. We smooth the surface, fill any gaps, and clean up loose concrete from the front edge. Starts, stops, and corners all get special attention, because the details are what separate a good-looking finished product from a great one.
Customization
This is where your curbing becomes uniquely yours. We apply the texture and hand-crafted stamp pattern you selected, then add accent color antiquing for depth and character. To minimize hairline cracking over time, we cut control joints every 2 to 2.5 feet. The result is a clean, natural-looking border that complements your home rather than competing with it.

Cleanup
We leave your yard tidy. That means picking up any excess concrete from in front of the curbing and pulling mulch back behind the new border as much as possible. Your landscaping should look better when we leave than it did when we arrived.
Sealing
The final step is applying two coats of sealer over the entire curb. This protects the color, enhances the finish, and helps your curbing stand up to the elements for years to come. Once the sealer is dry, the job is done.
